Quintura™ showcases its revolutionary web search software to investors and partners at ISDEF
Alexandria, VA, October 12, 2005 - Quintura, the next-generation web search company, today announced its revolutionary visual context-based web search technology to be demonstrated to venture capital investors and industry partners at ISDEF (Independent Software Developers Forum).
The ISDEF conference is held in Moscow, Russia, on October 13-16, 2005. The conference is a major annual international event bringing together over 1,000 executives from global software companies, leading international software development companies with R&D operations in Russia and software industry professionals. Among ISDEF participants are senior representatives of major global venture capital investment firms including Insight Venture Partners, Index Ventures, Intel Capital, Vector Capital, and Prime Technology Ventures, as well as major Internet and global software companies including Google, Microsoft, IBM, Digital River, and others.
"We are very thrilled by this early opportunity to demonstrate our next-generation search technology to a targeted audience of industry partners and potential investors," said Yakov Sadchikov, co-Founder and President & CEO of Quintura. "The Web search market demands a major advancement that Quintura supplies. Having created the revolutionary technology, Quintura also possesses other main factors to successfully develop its business of online search services such as a proven business model, unique marketing approach, and innovative and experienced entrepreneurial team."
"We have achieved a real breakthrough in making a visual context-based search a reality and implemented this technology in our software application. We solved a major current problem of search when a user is not able to manage a keyword-based search query that returns too many irrelevant results. Quintura Search makes the query depend on the meaning of user input and not depend on a search engine algorithm. The software helps a user search for relevant information on the Web easier and faster, thus enhancing search in any existing search engine," said Alexander Ershov, co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Quintura.
Quintura Search is downloaded to a personal computer and operates as a value-added layer between a web user and search engine. The software acts as a visual context-based search interface for a web user, helping add context or meaning to keyword in search query and dynamically manage the context of query.
Quintura Search™ will be generally available for download as a free desktop software application in late October - early November 2005. Quintura plans to launch online search services in 2006.
